Wow, it's been forever since I did calculus. At least a few years.

Without looking it up, isn't the prime of sin(x) = cos(x) .. and tan(x)= sin (x) /cos (x) + cos(x)/sin(x). Like I said.. it's been a while, but I didn't look at anything up - so yay if I got somewhat right!

As for a math question, how about a word problem. A $10.00 item is on sale for half-off. At the register, an additional 25% is taken off the sale price. What's the final price of the item, and what's the total % discount?

Worried

It's $3.75 or 62.5% off

Sales prices is $5.

25% off sales prices is $1.25 discount

$5 - $1.25 = $3.75

It's a commonly missed math problem.. which is why I asked it.

For an ultra nerdy question - what's 8 in base 7 (Yes, base 7 exists).

.
If you want a hint, it's the same answer as 7 in base 6!

Rock on.

Actually any n+1 in base n is 11

just as any n in base n is 10.
