ICANN has approved the .mobi domain name for specific use with mobile devices such as phones, PDAs and handhelds. .mobi domains can be expected to start appearing in summer 2006. Strict regulations will be placed on the domains as to the format, content and resolution of the webiste, for optimal viewing with a mobile device.
