Your thoughts on the new harry potter book

I read an article in one of the British papers saying the book was hard to read and not spellbinding i dissagree and found it to be a very good read and was wondering what did you think of it (i realise that some of you might not have finished it yet)

Please do not reveal anything which might give the plot away because it is unfair on peaple who have not read it yet

so did you like it?

Edit: also take a look at the sales figures http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4692093.stm

"When a book beats out movies, we're in great shape," said Scholastic's Lisa Holton.

"This is a cause for celebration, not just for Scholastic, but for book lovers everywhere," she added.

Yep, thought it was very good. One could perhaps criticise the fact that the average school day at Hogwarts is becoming rather formulaic, but this will inevitable happen after 6 books. I gave my opinion a few days ago here.

trying to avoid spoilers so it will be hard to explain..

but hardly nothing happened for 25 chapters , everything is taking place in a couple of chapter at the end.. and instead of things falling in place and making sense.it sounded to me more like filling during 25 chapters and finally making one relevant move at the end that she need for book 7.

Plus the lack of use of secondary characters, most of the "important second role characters" of the previous books aren't used , or just make an appearance without importance.

Sorry if it doesn't make much sense but it's hard to explain my point without naming characters or telling events of the book .

Right after I finish a Picture of Dorian Gray I may pick up the 5th one if it's cheap. Once I'm done it, I may pick up the 6th.
