so does anybody know if they could just charge a deposit if credit check doesn't work... i would want to stay with cingular. has anybody done that with them? i don't want prepaid cuz i use my phone too much (no house phone) and it would cost too much...

grrr! every place i went on the cingular site needs your cell phone # and/or zip code.
try that first & if you can't find any info, go to your local Cingular dealer :)

I have Cingular...been with them for about 4 or 5 years now and love their service. They have this new thing where you pay as you go with no service contract. I am thinking that after my contract runs out I might switch to that plan they have. There is still rollover and some of the other perks you get with having a contract but I am sure having a contract you get somewhat premiere service rather than lower level of service. I have not done that much research on it but from what the commercials on TV advertise it looks like the way to go from my point of view.
