Realplayer Enterprise edition issues?

Anyone here have any experiance with realplayer enterprise edition? Specifically, uninstalling it? Add/Remove programs doesn't work, the uninstaller shortcut doesn't work (uninstall component missing) and attempting to reinstall it happens to have no actual effect whatsoever. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thx

In order to uninstall Real products, you must remove the hard drive from your computer and promptly destroy it. Dropping it from tall skyscrapers, or tossing it into raging gasoline fires has always worked best for me.

I don't like real player at all. It never worked right with my computer.

I know, this is why I used the enterprise edition (hasn't given me problems before, and was actually removalble/usable, as long as use was limited to their bloody proprietary formats) but since I have had to reinstall it after nuking my computer awhile ago (just now got around to re-installing that little piece of malware we all .ram head against table know and .ram head against wall love). Now it doesn't work period, and it won't uninstall. Any other way you know? Something not involving a full exorcism?

um, why not just get the real alternative codec and use whatever player you like? Real Player is garbage, and next to impossible to remove once it gets on there!

If you really wanna be rid of it, Delete the program folder, and all shortcuts, get a norton system works CD and run the registry tool off of the cd... this will remove all of Real Players additions. Then just change the file extension associations.

Dargh, tried realplayer alt. but mediaplayer classic didn't quite want to play nice with all thier files (of doom).
And yes, for all future readers: I am an idiot for installing realplayer enterprise edition. It is wholly my fault that my computer is infested with the demonseed of thier code. The next time I wish to use any file again that has an extension that starts .r, I will remember to myself never to have children so that none will ever repeat this mistake.
