I think it would be interesting, especially for those of us who don't get to check in as much as we used to. :) Maybe have a brief segment at the beginning to mention any big headlines that we may have missed recently.

And I could throw it on my Axim and have a little break from listening to music at work every now and then.

One way to get podcasts onto your PDA is to use a program like FeederReader to download directly to your device (if your device has an internet connection).

Probably the easiest set of instructions on getting podcasts with FeederReader is http://blogs.msdn.com/mikehall/archi...28/412992.aspx

If you only read one page, read that one! It's a great short introduction.

There are many people who just load the program and start using it. If you're not one of those and want to read more, try some of these pages at www.FeederReader.com :

If you are new to podcasts and RSS -
http://www.feederreader.com/GettingStarted.html

This page will help you understand enclosures -

And you have any questions, log in to the FeederReader Forums (click "Forums" on the sidebar at www.FeederReader.com) and post a request for help!

I know how to do it but I only hotsync my pda like once or twice a week, im just too lazy to do anymore than that. then having to go out in the web and look for one omg thats too much work!

lol jk, no I just haven't seen or heard of any pod casts that have interested me so far so if chris does podcasting than I will definitly give it a go. that and I don't have a card reader so it'll take forever to sync

I love podcasting. An aximsite podcast could do well. Chris, if you decide to do one let me know and I will get your show mentioned on a few other podcasts including mine. www.thesitterdowners.com
Don't forget to list with iTunes and podcastalley. If there is any way I can help, please let me know.

P.S. I sent a PM to Chris, but never received any info on my Achieve-It! winnings. Did everyone else collect?

OH Mannnn you gotta do it.
I have become a podcast nut, even though I do not have an iPod...don't want one either. I download to my CF card on my Axim and listen while driving to and from work etc. I just pump the podcasts through my Suburban's stereo system via a tape adapter through the Axim headphone jack. I also listen on my Rio MP3 player at the gym and while on afternoon runs. A variety of shows gives me a LOT of entertainement. Please do a show but do it right, good quality recordings and throw in some humor etc. Best of luck.

Funny this topic would come up. I have just in the last few days downloaded mulitple Podcasts just to check the content... and their value to me and the community.

Here is what I have found... (of course this is just my opinion. I like another here said.. downloaded the mp3 version it was just an easier method to get what I wanted, and easy is always a good thing). I downloaded from to popular PPC sites... I will not say which, what I found was one site that was extremely bias to a product-line... and all the podcasts seemed centered around one particular product. I suppose because it is what he uses...

The second... was rather boring, and I found that the person doing the podcast was just producing a monolog of gibberish. The most unfortunate thing was that I disagreed with almost everything he said, and he is suppose to be an extremely knowledgible person.

I will continue to listen in hopes of finding something useful, but I am not hopeful.

What I would like to see... is a podcast with more interaction... perhaps a round table of several hosts discussing more generic topics. When I say that... I mean topics that would encompass PocketPC's as a whole rather than just the Dell or Hp brands. I would still like to include discussion on specific devices from time to time, just not all the time. I believe this would draw in a larger audience and would not isolate anyone in general. As I mentioned at the beginning... I think that having more than one person doing the podcast is important, this way it does not sound like a scripted speech. And it would be nice if it was non-bias... having the hosts willing to point out the good and the bad.

In other words... I am all for a podcast from Chris... I would just hope that it would not be dedicated to Dell only... that way you could post the same podcast here and at IpaqHQ and at the same time not single out users of other devices.

:approve:
