Audioscrobbler, anyone?

Does anyone here use Audioscrobbler? For those who don't know, I seriously recommend checking it out. From the website:

Quote:
Audioscrobbler builds a profile of your musical taste using a plugin for your media player (Winamp, iTunes, XMMS etc..). Plugins send the name of every song you play to the Audioscrobbler server, which updates your musical profile with the new song. Every person with a plugin has their own page on this site which shows their listening statistics. The system automatically matches you to people with a similar music taste, and generates personalised recommendations.
It's not spyware - in fact, I forget I'm using it sometimes. It blends in nicely with my winamp without any fuss! You can check out my nifty profile here (and I've been using it for a while):

Also, once you join, check out the two special interest groups I've created...
Pocket PC's: http://www.audioscrobbler.com/group/Pocket%2BPC (only 4 more people and we can start compiling weekly stats!)
and
Classic Gamers: http://www.audioscrobbler.com/group/Classic%2BGamers

Feel free to add me to your friend's list too!

p.s. This is my 700th post!!!. Thank you to MrK, my personal post counter ;)

There isn't really anything to get into. You'll install it, and most likely forget about it.

The cool thing is coming back in a month or so and seeing your music stats compiled up. You can see what songs you've been listening to over time and see what it recommends.

Pretty quickly!

It takes a while to build up beefy stats, but depending on the server you should see plain stats within the next song.

Ah, it finally updated 2 of the songs. Do you have to listen to the song all the way through for it to update? Because i rarely listen to a song all the way through, if never, lol.

It's mentioned in the FAQ somewhere, but I think you have to listen to the song halfway through in order for it to count.

Haha.. you song skipper you :-p

p.s. I added you to my friends list!

The song is submitted after you have listened to 50% or 240 seconds of the song, whatever comes first. Any manual skipping or seeking through the track will cause that song not to be submitted.
:approve: theres your answer

Jesus. I can't even get it working. It won't work at all in Winamp. I totally disabled my firewall. It connects in WMP but won't even submit songs.

It hasn't updated one single statistic.

Oh well. So much for that.
