You can sign up on the MS beta site, but MSDN subscribers always get first dibs on betas and new releases. I believe MSDN gets it first (downloadable), and TechNet subscribers must wait for the CD's to ship. This has been my experience, I'm not sure if it's changed.
Well, considering that most of those guys can get on those sites to use for making products that make them $1000's (the developers and such) and considering Apple Doesn't even do anything like it or do wide spread betas for that matter...its not that bad of a thing for some people
Ok. Heres the deal guys. The company I am working for over the summer is partners with microsoft and are MSDN subscibers. I didn't really get a chance to look to much at it but here is a screenshot of the setup. We were installing it on a virtual machine, and the quality is kinda bad so bear with me...
No more blue screen setup!!
Looks great. To tell you the truth ericcumbee, on the machines that I have been installing XP Pro SP2 on lately, install time is exrememly fast. Most times it takes only around 15-20 minutes :)
Install of Vista was very fast. It took about 15 minutes and the DVD ISO was on a server on the network. And it was a virtual PC so I'd say that isn't to bad.
More pics to come soon though. I will try to play around with it on Monday.
