Need help: unlocking my Motorola Razr v3

Does anyone know of a reliable, trust-worthy, and inexpensive service for unlocking ( the subsidy password) my new Razr phone? Im sure some smarties here at aximsite know how to do this. BTW mods, this is not illegal.

The only way to do it is by calling the service provider you have it through now and having them do it. It won't be easy and it may take a few calls as you will get several people telling you they can't do it. But, it can be done. You just have to be a little insistant.

Do you mean unlocking it so it'll accept another network's SIM card?

Most service providers (at least here in Canada) will not unlock the phone for you because that means you are free to use it with another service. You can ask, but if they are unwilling to help, the best option would be to go to an independent cell phone dealer. Remote unlocking is also an option (at least for some phones - not sure about the Razr), but unless you are sure they are reputable, I'd avoid that route since entering the wrong unlock code 3x would mean you have to get it serviced. There are lots of unlocking service around, but I would compare services and prices as a bad unlock could render your new phone a dead paperweight. Also, check HowardForums for more info.
