Hey peoples.. i was wondering if anyone else here has installed the newly released windows vista beta, and how have your experiences been? ive only had it freeze on me once, and that was because of some weird external drive driver problems, which havnt come up again... and also, it only seems to like my 80 gig seagate... it completely refuses to recognise my 100gb maxtor, no idea why. anywhoo, overall, i think its pretty hawt, and internet explorer 7 is really fast...faster then firefox and amazingly, even faster than opera. and the OS overall looks really cool, its got somy funky-ass transparency shiznits going...

well, here are some screenshots, i didnt actually want to post them.. like actually here, so i just have links to the images, because then the page would take forever to load... whatever. theres not much here, because im lazy...

Probably $100-200 for an upgrade version, or $200-300 for a full version. Asuming they will use something similar to XP pricing.

actually, they took out the sidebar for some reason in the newest build, so i found a fairly cool replacement prog... http://www.desktopsidebar.com/ cuz i kinda missed it. also, i'm not in msdn, my copy is t3h p1ratedz0rz... i think to join its like $2,000-something. oh, also... currently there is only the black start bar availible as far as i can tell, but for the windows theres another theme called "aero" (the one you see is called aero glass) which still looks pretty cool, and of course the classic windows theme

oh, and heres what it looks like with glass disabled

Hey how do the Aximsite menu's look?

Not to start an Apple/PC debate, but things like transparency have been in OS X for a while, but not totally problem free.

But the menus on Aximsite do not show up correctly. It's like the HTML code is not interpreted correctly maybe?? Who knows.




How do the Aximsite menus look on Vista?

I use Vista as I'm a beta tester for MSFT. This OS has a lot of bugs and I hope nobody is using this as their regular OS yet.
