Worried Programing for x50v

Good morning all, I am also new to the list and my x50v should arrive on the 16th (I hope). I have done some programing on the Mac and Newton in the past and would like to port or reprogram to the x50v. What is being used currently, any programmers out there?

Thanks for the input and for this forum, it's great! :approve:

Welcome, Jim. You can download eVB for free. That's microsoft's embedded visual basic. Do a google search for it.

Microsoft has a whole WM 2003 SDK that you can download and install on your PC. It will allow you to program in either BASIC or C++ and it has a neat little emulator function that lets you check out and debug your program before hosting it over to the Axim. I've used it for three simple apps I've written in C++ for my X50V and it works well. There's a lot of additional tools and things that work with it you can download too. Good luck.

Thanks to all, I will take a look at these links. BTW while I was on the MS site I saw a note that stated MS was shifting their support to Visual Basic.Net for PPC starting with 2005 OS?? in October. As I am new to PPC, and I looked at a lot of different areas at MS I could be mistaken

At any rate thanks again and looking forward to learning to program my newest little buddy.
