Like it's been mentioned above, the United States of America does not have an official language. Besides it's obvious that the official language of McDonalds is $$$. So I'm sure they carefully designed their coupons and wrappers and such to entice people to spend as much money as possible with them. :p
I made an observation about McDonald's marketing ploys not too long ago to a friend... what they're trying to portray as multiculturalism by featuring ethnic minorities in their print and television ads is instead (to me at least) blatant pandering.
If you think about it, a lot of non-english speaking immigrants get their social education about the US from advertisements, therefore they think that McDonald's is the "American Way". I've even heard commercials on TV in spanish only, on a major network channel.
They've already clogged the arteries of mainstream America, now they're after World Domination
p.s. McDonald's makes me physically ill.. always has
I'm very disappointed that this thread didn't have anything to do with a pretty woman, a couple of drinks, a bathtub full of ice water, and a missing kidney.

Something JUST like that happened to me in Glasgow Airport
Reminds me of a nice quote from Seinfeld that Kramer said.
"I spent a month in Mexico one night".
I'm paraphraseing, but we all get the idea. Wink Wink Nudge Nudge.
Multiculturism at work...check your census demographics, there are more hispanics in the U.S. than you realize. Makes sense, esp. when you consider a good portion of the lower part once was hispanic.
Is everyone from the US forgeting that this northern continent was settled by the Spainish, The English, and the French? I'm talking an almost even split between the groups. The English had least first btw. Dons his asbestos underware ;)
If you parse an American dictionary you'll find that Spanish and French derived words outstrip any other languages for what we call "American English"
Resistance is futile!
