Should GTA go online?

Okay I was just playing GTA:SA and realized that cj must be really lonely. I even felt a little lonely playing in the game. I mean a whole state and not one human soul to interact with. GTA needs to go online imo. what do you think?

I've never played it, but the idea of taking a game like that and making it massively multiplayable could be rather profitable.

I'm not sure who CJ is, but if it's cjradek then please come back we all miss you.

cj is carl johnson the main character.

I think a mm would be crazy. Have all the major cities in the world plus all the countries, OMG but I was just thinking, people would probaly be killing other people left and right so it would probaly be hard to get anything done in the game. oh well I would still play.

the concept would be amazing as huge as the game is. imagine if you could customize your own character.........

yeah i saw that hot coffee mod, what a ridiculous waste of time for something so pointless and stupid. i dont know the specifics of who put what in or where but the mod was 30 seconds of innapropriate material that added nothing to the game but more bad press. you got the point when the game went to a cut screen.

I dunno, I kinda like coffee. :coffeedri

I like it with Lara, the Sims, Resident Evil......ohhhhh...lots of 'em go good with coffee. :approve:

Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick didn't do much for me, though.

I'll take a beer with Sports Games,
coffee would just be a bit.....EWwwwwwww!

Here is what comes to mind with me:
1: It would quickly become the largest MMOG, say in about 2-3 months.
2: Several "people" will speak out about it without being bothered to play the game to ensure the accuracy of their statements.
3: Since everyone would be driving around and stealing cars, a system to regulate who gets what car and how often you can steal a vehicle from someone else (another player). The game could quickly devolve into a bunch of people just stealing cars from each other as opposed to going out in the game and having fun.

Good point. Playing it "solo" there is a decent balance of civilians, gang members, and you. Playing it online is a massive environment that balance would be much harder to maintain.

The big question is how they would integrate it into the story.

If I am not wrong I think rockstar did announce plans to introduce a massively multiplayer version of GTA.

If that is so, even the very people you see on the streets in-game are human controlled characters doing missions (co-op) & such like diablo II, only its all "life" in the city.

But we won't be expecting it so soon then. Just pray we don't have to pay to play it like most popular MMORPGs are like WoW.

Sorry to tell you but as it stands, GTA:SA is nowhere near big enough for an MMO ... Not by a long shot... They would have to make it a whole lot bigger....

SA is much much bigger and i like being able to drive planes, go in houses, etc.

but VC is smaller, easier to know EVERY area and EVERY little place (it would be almost impossible in SA)
