NEWS: Recognizing AXIM on MAC OS

Okay, might be mistaken and maybe everybody already knows this, however, for those who may not know. I realized people said their Mac's don't recognize their PPC. I had the same exact problem and was wondering how to transfer files, I tried bluetooth, it was just tooo slow.

GOOD NEWS: There is a program called PPC CARD EXPORT by Softick that allows you to transfer files without installing Activesync (of course you can't)

All you have to do is install CARD EXPORT on the Pocket PC and there will be a little icon on the bottom that looks like the activesync icon, then tap it and click "Card Export" Just attach the cradle through USB to your Mac and put your Axim in the cradle, your Mac will read it as a Disk Image and you can search your Axim CF and SD cards. (ONLY CF AND SD CARDS) Beautiful thing is: it's go at USB2 speeds, I've transferred 125MB files in 5-6 minutes!

If you are interested go here, you can get a free trial of the software: http://www.softick.com/pocket-pc/cardexport2/

I hope this helps fellow Mac users!

The best way to install programs is to either download the cabs and copy them to your CF/SD card, or, as a second resort, download the installer (exe file) and run it through file juicer, which will spit the cabs out. Sometime I have to run the juiced cabs again to get the correct cab.

File juicer sounds like a decent alternative. However one program I would really love to get back on my PPC is MSN Messenger. Presently I don't have access to my AMD desktop. What would I do with the cab files for the installer for this program once I've run them on the Mac? Would I just transfer them across to say an SD or CF card then transfer them to an appropriate spot within my PPC?
