Possible like I said, I wasn't sure. I like statistical numbers and post count is statistics at aximsite. As far as I am concerned they could be removed and I wouldn't care (not much anyway) Members remember you by your answers, the help that you provide and presence to the site not the total posts. Large post count only help newbie to distinguish between passive and active members not their knowledge.

Yes, even Chris agrees that post counts don't mean much.

If I remember correctly, I had less than 200 posts when I was accepted as part of the "staff". That's pretty laughable when you compare it to other members. In fact, I still haven't broken 1000 posts, yet!

All a post count of 1,000 proves is that the person made 1,000 posts. If i'm unsure about a poster then I may look back over there last posts, but that only gives the last 500(?). And it's content not quantity that counts

There are loads of posters here who have far bigger reputations than mere numbers would suggest. And their reputations are based on the quality/helpfulness/flair/entertainment/other stuff that i can't think of right now, not post counts.

Bottom line is that i'd read any review posted on aximsite that had forky's name on it, because the previous ones she's posted are good and i'd value her opinion on just about anything.

Sorry if that makes you embarressed... but credit where credit's due :approve:

Aww thank you!

I'm actually quite thankful Chris gave me the opportunity to be part of the team.

Also, I agree - there are a lot of posters here that are well known for their help. Nowadays it's pretty easy to go into a WFHOF thread and bump up your post counts a few notches.

I would give 13,000 posts to have the knowledge of Ike in Wifi and Jake with GPS. These two members have my deepest respect for what they do here. They are often forgotten but trust me, if you just follow their posts you will learn something about their expertise. Guys, I tip my hat to you.

Hey, don't knock yourself, Frenchy. You too are very helpful.

But I will agree there are lots of members here with an amazing amount of knowledge. Even more so, it is a blessing that they contribute tutorials to help us all out! :)
