I am wonderingif it is possible to upgrade my ipaq 4155 via wifi

i know its probly not safe but is it possible. or is it possible to make a sync fir the usb.
lemme explain. i have a usb charger/sync but like a craddle it wont lemme do both charge and sync at the same time. that is why i cannot upgrade my rom.
i also have the original power cord. i am wondering if i were to solder the 2 together if it would work. or is it possible via bluetooth.

if not is their anyone i can buy their old craddle off of or make a trade.

i cannot say what the trade is as it would infringe on the policies of the forum but email me about it and we can talk. i like this device but it is running 1.00 rom and it SUX. i need the upgrade for the software i use and HW.

I would guess it isn't possible by wifi since the update will rewrite your wifi drivers.

Some devices can be upgraded via Sd cards, although the cradle is still the best option

Then my next question would be does anyone know how to use the sd update/upgrade proccedure for the 4150/4155. and thank you for the help psionandy

Woot i solved my problem. i took the wrong way for most of the day trying to use the bootloader(enterbootloader.exe) and couldnt figure out how to transfer the NBF file to a raw image. so i messed around for quite a long time atleast 10 hours and got nothing but a screwed up sd card that was a 128 and is now a 64 sucks but hey i got my system back.
what i did was take the cable i have that only allows one at a time of power/sync not at the same time. and saw a site how to make your craddle charge off the usb and i put 2+2 together and cut the switch out. it will NOlonger charge but it thinks it is and was good enough to to trick my system into thinking it was on a craddle with power. unless i am wrong.

but all i did was cut and split the red,white,black, and green no need for the brown. and matched them up on the USB side of the cable. IT WORKS.

email me for info or continue to post here or contact me VIA aim: "LUCIFERXE" without the quotes. i believe this trick will work for ayone, and yes i know it is kinda a waist of a charger but you can always put it back if you do it right that is my goal tommorow but as you will see from the timestamp it is starting to get to be my ME time. and if you could give me some info on the bootloader 1.04h/1.02 as to make a NBF file into a raw image and if someone who has a 128 MB sdcard im via aim as i can repair the card but i will need somones help
