Need Axim wireless access help
When I ordered my Axim I also ordered a linksys wireless router and a Truemobile 1180 wireless compact flash card.
My desktop PC runs windows XP, my problem is that I have Bellsouth DSL, and it has no Ethernet port,It connects into my PC through a USB connection. from what I've been told my DSL modem is software driven not hardware, which means I can't just plug my router into my modem, the software in my computer translates the signal.
Is there someway that I can hook up my router through the computer and use it that way.
I bought an ethernet card for my PC but have been told that I need more than that.
I'm totaly confused as to what I should do, I've had all this stuff for over a month and haven't been able to get wireless access.

Does anybody here know how to solve this problem, and if somebody does, please explain this in regular english, I'm not that tech savy and will not understand overly complicated tech terms.

Anybody's help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, just lemme quickly recap your setup right now:

[DSL Modem] --via.USB-->[Desktop]

What you can do is:

[DSL Modem] --via.USB-->[Desktop w/extra Network card]--via.Network.Cable-->[Wireless Router]--wireless-->[Wireless Clients]

What the above diagram shows is that you have to setup your desktop as an Internet Connection Sharing host (use the stuff built-in Win98/2k/XP); and have the router 'cascade' the stuff down. It shouldn't be more complicated than setting up a standalone router. Goodluck.

Cheers.
