Any clue to implement OBEX for the EF81 or any other way to send files from the Axim to the EF81?
I have the same problem...however my phone of choice is the Motorola i880 from Nextel. I can send audio/pics from my phone to my x50v but not the other way around. I also only get Dial-up Networking or Serial as choices when I pair the phone to the x50v.

Any help would be appreciated.

Activating my Motorola BT Headset

This seems to be my problem too.
My symptoms which I emailed to Motorola:
I am trying to use the HS 805 headset with my Dell Axim x51v. The Axim sees the HS805 when pairing, but then the "Choose Service" field is totally empty so there is no service to select and so the connection is established and no icon for Headset is there. Are the two compatible? Do I need a "driver" of some sort?

The Bluetooth Guide directions do not look anything like the display on my PDA. Do I need a "patch" as was mentioned in this thread?

Yes. The MS stack doesn't support handsfree or headset profiles.

Install widcomm and find out about the crap Dell put in the X51 series.

If anyone is interested in knowing, I just found a software program that works w/ Bluetooth, its called Dragon Naturally Speaking--a voice recognition program. I was stoked to see its Bluetooth compatible.

Anyway, thanks for the link to the guide!

Thank you for the info. The above thread contains ALOT of info and different links. Would you mind directing me in more detail what I need to do and what downloads and versions I need? Sorry, but this BT stuff is all new to me.

like what this app does

Found it:

Now to set it up in a task scheduler to sync every hour and victory is mine...

Has anyone done a tutorial for bluetooth with Windows Mobile 5? I've tried to follow the one shown in the OP's link at the start of this post but am really struggling. I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 and you'd think that the two would match nicely....big laugh.

I simply cannot get my X51 to connect via active sync to my notebook using Bluetooth - USB is fine but I want the bluetooth connectivity too.

Go to the laptops BT control panel and have it setup a comport - incoming

in Activesync, check Allow Connections on COMx, where X is the same port you created in BT panel above

On PDA, start ActiveSync, connect via bluetooth

I have it setup to sync between home and work PCs...

See MyPDA for helpful utility VJBlueSync

Hi to All,

I have an x50v Axim (A02, 2003se) and a Bluetooth BT-339. My problem is this I have Iguidance and TomTom5.0 and every time I must first turn on GPS , then select it from my BT manager, then exit to desktop – then start up my GPS software. Is there no way I can simply turn on my gps –then start my gps software (iguidance or Tomtom ) and have the program hook up to my BT 339 all by itself ?? This is the only BT device I have and it seems even if I try to select it as default EVERY time I start up I must go through this same procedure. Can anyone shed any light on what I must do to get automatic startup of the BT device whenever I start the software? Any upgrades needed? X51v ? WM5? Whatever?

Thanks for any help/advice !!

I simply can't get the thing to work - each time I set up the com port I can't set iot to (or don't have an option for) incoming.

Then when I go to Activesync on my PDA it just says that there is no Partnership with a PC that has activesync - which is rubbish as I have set the partnership between my PC and my PDA. Windows Mobile is really bad.

if you can't get the port setup on the laptop first, how do you expect to get the second part to work... especially as the port is necessary to communicate?

Fix the laptop BT first

then worry about activesync

then worry about the pda
