Can I avoid an extra click during bluetooth pairing?
Using x50v ROM A03, the ROM BT stack, and a BT-338 GPS 3.1.1 over bluetooth, serial profile.
Starting any of my BT applications will bring me to the "select a bluetooth device" screen. I can choose a BT device icon (and either choose "always use the slected device" or not).
Ironically, the next time I start a BT-using application, it asks me again, so it does not remember to "always" use the device (I only have one bluetooth device, the BT338).
Moving on ... after selecting my BT GPS, I then get a floating
"Bluetooth Settings
To display the device delextion dialog for serial port connections again, go to Bluetooth Settings > Services > Serial Port > Advanced ..."
popup dialogue box. This floating dialogue box has a little "ok" button that I have to press before the application actually starts.
Most of the icons in this process are large enough for me to press with my finger and not with the stylus, but not the last OK box (I have stubby fingers). Since I use my GPS when driving or hiking, I really would prefer not to have to take out the stylus.
Is there anyway to automate any of these steps, as I only have the one device? Some system setting anywhere?
It's not a deal-breaking problem, but it annoys me.
Thanks in advance.
