I have used it from day one. The newer version out requires you have AS 4.0 or better to install. (Microsoft suggests 2003SE users use AS 3.8) I tried using AS 3.8 to install, and it won't.

It works for me. HitchHiker is a freeware type of WiFi program, I have not tried it out however.

BTW, get their latest update. It requires ActiveSync 4+ to install. This updated program functions a lot better, though some of the icons are munged in the connection display.
