I'm running my X50v w/a Belkin router. I'm also running it as secured. If you are doing the same make sure you set the router to allow the Mac address. And your network key is correct. I ran in to an issue w/my connection. It worked great at first then I had some major issues. I ended up changing my channel twice. Seems I was getting major interference. You might want to check out the totorials here, they really help.

This may be completely non-helpful, as I am a super-newb at the axim stuff. Anyways, I've found that even if the Dell WLAN utility has trouble completing a connection with a network, if I add it to the Odysee Client list and use that utility instead, it works much better. I'd give the Odysee Client a try before you really chnage a lot of settings, if you can, and haven't already done so.

I don't have Odyssey Client.My X30 didn't come with wifi,I bought an add-on card.
To find out:
1. Disable security/encryption in your router.
2. Enable DHCP in your router.
3. Reset router. Wait 10 sec.
4. Delete WiFi connection settings in your Ax.
5. Reset Ax.
6. Go to Dell WLan Utility & Scan.
When you Ax detect an unsecured open network, a message will pop up asking if you want to connect. Respond yes.
If you can surf, that means all your hardwares are good.
If successful, go back to your router to set the security features. Then configure your Ax to those settings.
Make sure you've the lalest firmware for your router.
No security enabled for the router. It detects the network and asks if I want to connect to "Internet"or "Work".I don't have WLAN Utility from Dell.I only have the Spectec WLAN Utility. This is an SD wifi card, not a built-in.
It means your system is functioning. The procedure above basically removed corrupted settings & triggered the Axim to respond.
It doesn't work,it just detects the network, like always, but doesn't connect.I might be getting a new modem/router soon.Perhaps this will solve my problem.Still,I would like it if someone could tell me how to make Internet Explorer work.It doesn't work and I have to use Avantgo.
PIE will not work even if it is connected when items 1 & 2 (below) matched when the cache is corrupted. You can use MemMaid to clean up the cache ONLY if items 1 & 2 matches.
Some routers have long & short preamble. ALWAYS USE LONG PREAMBLE.
Up to this point, you've not mentioned what encryption method you have set in your router.
Are you using WEP, WPA, etc?
Please post your:
1. Your router's configuration.
2. Your Axim's setup.
My dad says there might be an encryption problem.I think the network is just a plain network,no security junk.On the positive side,my dad called the cable company about a new wireless modem!Perhaps this one will work! What is this "preamble"?
