I'm using cable internet along with a Belkin router.The laptop computer can connect just fine to the wireless network,but my X30 will not connect.It is using a Spectec wifi card(it works.I was in another location and managed to get connected to another network.)Anybody know why my network doesn't work with my X30?

firewall, WAP settings.. more info please.. have u removed all security settings? try that then build back up..

no WAP.i tried to disable firewall,that doesn't work either.

So there is no MAC Filtering, no WEP, no WPA etc.

What is the SSID?
Is the SSID being broadcast?
Is the other laptop 802.11b or 802.11g?

The laptop is 802.11b.I can receive the SSID from my X30.It detects the network,but does not finish connecting.It starts to connect,but it never finishes.

Check the router configuration and make sure that mixed mode is enabled and that none of the super-g type things are enabled.

There is no "mixed mode" setting,but the 802.11b laptop can handle it just fine.Also,all the "super-g"features are disabled.

Oh sorry, I thought you wrote that the laptop was 802.11g.

Can you get some screen shots of the configuration on the laptop. The wireless configuration.
