Bad News: The only data calls that Cingular will allow are data calls to their Data Teir Services.
Worse News: It can be really expensive to call for long amounts of time if you don't have a plan.
Better News: You can call their numbers and get relativley decient speeds, but it does cost money.
Best News: I have Verizon, and they have the MOU thing, so instead of being counted as Data Time, and counting it as Data. It only counts as minutes.
They can't tell if it is a PDA, simply a DUN bluetooth device. Now I think these instructions will work. All credit goes the the address mentioned and the poster who posted them.

III. IPAQ Setup
1. Bluetooth Setup
a. PDA – Establish a Passkey
i. Go to Start, Today
ii. On the lower left there’s an Icon
iii. Click on it and select “Turn radio ON”
iv. Once the radio is on you’ll notice the blue light flashing on the front
v. Click on the icon again and select “Bluetooth Manager”
vi. Click “Tools” and then “Settings for all devices”
vii. You will see a name and passkey. Enter a passkey and remember it
viii. Click OK.
ix. The PDA is now ready to be paired from the cell phone
b. Phone
i. Go to Extras, Bluetooth
ii. Select “Paired Devices”
iii. Click “Add Device”
iv. Click “Phone Initiates”
v. Click “All Types”
vi. The Search will begin and hopefully it will find “iPAQ Pocket PC”
vii. It will ask “Add to pared devices”, Click yes
viii. A passkey prompt will come up, enter the one used on the PDA above(vii)
ix. Then pairing begins and succeeds.
c. PDA – complete bonding and set as Bluetooth dialup modem
i. On the “Bluetooth Manager” screen
ii. Click on “Search” at the bottom menu
iii. Select the check box of the phone and click Save/OK
iv. Click on OK at the top to exit the “Search” Screen
v. Click on the phone icon
vi. On the bottom select “Actions” and then “Create bond with this device”
vii. On the “Actions” menu, select “Set as Bluetooth Dialup Modem”
viii. Say OK to close the Actions screen
ix. Say OK to close Bluetooth Manager.
x. The PDA and phone should be bonded now.
2. Connection Settings
a. Go to Start, Settings
b. Click connections Tab
c. Select Connections
d. Drop down "Internet settings"
e. Select New
f. Set Connection Name= GPRS
g. Click "Modem" tab
h. Click New
i. Set Connection name = GPRS MODEM
j. Set Modem = "Bluetooth Dialup Modem"
k. Set Baud Rate =115200
l. Ignore the advanced section
m. Click next
n. Leave Country Code and Area Code Blank
o. Set Phone Number = *99***2# (the 2 here refers to the second Connection in the phone in our case it points to the isp.cingular Connection on the phone)
p. Click Next.
q. Uncheck everything here
r. Click finish
s. Click on “Proxy Setting” tab
t. Select the first checkbox only
u. Click OK
v. This will take you back to the connection screen
w. Click on “Dialing Locations” Tab
x. Click on New and Type in “GPRS”
y. Click OK to close
z. Click Dialing Patterns
aa. Make sure all the fields only have the character “G” in them
bb. Click OK
cc. Click on “Connections” Tab
dd. At the connection screen click connect to enable the GPRS connection
ee. A dialog screen will pop up asking for user name and password
ff. Set user Name = ISPDA@CINGULARGPRS. COM
gg. Set Password = CINGULAR1
hh. (warning: Don't check the save password option untill you are sure that it works, else you will have to re-create the connection in order to get this prompt again)
