Connecting x51 to Blackberry 7520 with Nextel Service for Internet connection...

Is it possible? I only have the data plan on the Blackberry.

I sure do... I'm just wondering how this will affect my plan...

Will I have to have an ISP or can I use the data plan that I have with Nextel to connect to the internet.

you should beable to use the plan you have however I would check with your provider.. then ask them for the data info for you to use your phone as a BT modem for your PDA.. then they will help you do it or send you by email the info.. goodluck.. but if it were me I would atleast try.. :-)

When I setup the connetion with bluetooth I get to a point that asks me to "select services to use from this device". The only problem is nothing is showing up.

51v and Cingular BlackBerry 8300

Yesterday, my wife attempted to BT snyc her new 51v w/ my Cingular 8300 BlackBerry while dining out (okay, we are both geeks - she was once a normal liberal arts major). Both devices recognized one another. We haven't had the time to see whether the voice or data service can be accessed. If so, I'll report back.

Also a warning for those planning to purchase/use an 8300, your current 7200 series soft leather belt clip will not switch the device off when cradling it. RIM has moved the magnetic switch. I cannot tell you how many self dialed calls the unit has made. The worst was a 0400 call to my wife!!

I have a BB 7250. I just upgraded the BB OS and now have an EVDO connection. I wish they sold a tether cable so I could use it with my X3i (non-bluetooth).

My Data plan costs $49 a month. I don't have a voice plan on the device, I use it for data only.
