HELP I have an x51v. I've setup Linksys wireless-G router and can connect wirelessly with my laptop. My PPC recognizes my network but its also showing some unknown named network. I can connect using the unknown network but I cannot connect to my own. I have tried to delete the settings of the unknown network but it won't go away. Its signal strength is poor and mine is strong. When I disconnect and try to connect to my network it just keeps saying "available". At the moment I have my router set to Broadcast SSID, security disabled, and no MAC filtering. Is this unknown network one of my neighbors? Can anyone help? Why can't I connect to my own network?

By the way I do have the mode on my router set to mixed.

The unknown is probably a neighbor's. Is it on the same channel as your router? If so, change yours (using 1, 6, or 11 - whichever is furthest from theirs). I've noticed PPCs are confused by competing signals more easily than other wireless equipment.

Thanks got it to connect. Worked fine for a while, then put it on my cradle to recharge. Now it still connects but when I open IE on my PPC and open a site (say like AximSite) it starts to load then IE completly shutsdown. I mean it closes and I have to reopen.

I've seen a couple of people reporting this problem but have not seen any solutions. I assume you've tried a soft reset. You might also try clearing the cache and/or history (Menu, Tools, Options..., Memory (tab)).
