Coughin Nails

I'm fed up. I bought a used X5 w/WCF12, and initially things were fine. I was able to connect to my home WiFi network, and most public access points. In the last couple of weeks, the Axim/card combo has gotten flakey. Now, the Axim never recognizes the card. I've entered "prismnds.dll", "wcf12" and a few other names at the normal prompt, but the card is never recognized.

I've been through umpteen soft resets, and three hard ones (the first hard reset seemed to have worked for a week). I've reinstalled the prism drivers in various packages (WCF12 beta, from the provided CD, Belkin, etc.). I've followed the directions found in this forum, all to no avail.

At this point, I'm ready to call the card "toast".

* Anyone else have any bright ideas?

* I'm looking around for a replacement card. The cheapest ones on Ebay are the Sandisk 128Mb + WiFi. From what I've read here, those are questionable (at best) with the X5. Does anyone have others that they recommend, preferably with links?
