plz help.

i'm still experiencing probs with my wifi.
i'm running an x50v 624 MHz and have now managed to get my pda to say it is connected to a wifi network in my house.
it has the following settings
bssid 00-11-09-0e-bb-b2
bss type infrastructure
authentication - open system
mac address - 00-09-2d-4a-f5-25
gateway - 192.168.4.1
ip address - 192.168.4.11
net mask - 255.255.255.0
from odyssey -encryption and authentication not in use
my network connects to work
authentication - open
data encryption - wep
tick on key provided automatically
802.1x not ticked
signal strength is good but when i go on IE and try say google it says the page you are looking for cannot be found.

what am i doing wrong and what do i need to change. i have wifi knife installed but am not sure what i should be seeing

plz help!!!!

You say that there is no encryption and then you say that it's using WEP.

Are there any security services enabled on your router?

When I had a similar problem, I "disabled" the "power save mode" in the WLAN Utility. Hope you get it solved.

Make sure the router is set to "B" or "Mixed" mode

Go into the network settings - Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Set up my Proxy server. On the Proxy server tab, check the top box (This network connects to the Internet) but leave everything else on this page blank. On the General tab, the name should be "My Work Network."

OK and then select the Advanced (tab), Select Networks and select "My Work Network" from both of the pull down lists.
