Question Any 802.11a CF cards?

Has anyone seen or heard of a future plan for 802.11a CF nics out there?
My school uses 802.11a to seperate its network from that of the undergraduate and other graduate departments so it would be nice if I could find an 802.11a CF card for this fall or later.
I know it is unlikely, but, perhaps soemone has heard of or seen one??

I doubt your going to find one .. At least not anytime soon ... The A standard is the one that is the least adopted out of all of them (a,b,g) ...

I can't believe a school is stupid enough to adopt that as their standard ... If they needed the higher 54Mbps they should have used the G standard that would provide compatability with the b standard ... They way they could have had eveyone covered for their needs ..

Yes, I doubt it also, that is why I made this thread... to see if, on the odd chance, anyone actually had heard of one in the works.

I had already pointed out their folly with 802.11a, however, their main reason was that they wanted to *not* be compatible with the rest of the campus. They wanted to keep our wireless network completely seperated.

It works out to be a pain for me because I don't like to carry a laptop and would find it nice to do things with my Axim (including being able to IM my children as I live away from them while I am attending).

I thought I was going to get flooded with "why in the world do you want 802.11a when the PPC can't surf that fast, etc..." replies. I am glad I did not... LOL

Thanks for the reply.:D
