Microsoft Portrait problem

I have tried following: Axim connected with Gsm. PC connected through a router to ADSL. I can chat if I sign in with Messenger, but I cannot call a videoconnection. If I can see each other and chat, why canīt I make a call. If I try direct with IP adresses they cannot see each other. Is it something with proxy and if it is, why can I chat and not call.
It works perfect connected with USB and proxy set as prescreibed
in guide.
pardon my english.

Thanks
Thomas

Re: Portrait

I like this but, the only problem I have is that I cannot connect when I am away from home using my WiFi at my job. It is great for surveillence but cannot connect. When home I can connect and can go all the way down to the outside of building.
Can you help with this issue?

Thats my point. I have the same problem. It has to do with proxy settings. Maybe your office has a firewall and then you have to know how to get beyound. My problem is when I call from a mobile phone. The one thing I canīt figure is, why I am able to chat but not get a videoconnection.

In order to get it to work at home, I had to open up the ports in my router firewall...

Listen Port: 8100
Video Port: 8110
Audio Port: 8120

So you have to go into the router and do it. What if you canīnt do that. I have a router from the company that provides the DSL and that is locked.

Can you send them a request to open the ports so you can use this software?
