Is there a way i can use my axim and my nokia 3360 to get to the internet by infared.If so, how? Im new at this stuff.

It depends on your cell phone provider. They have to offer service for the web enabled feature on your phone in order to be able to get with your Axim.

I have US Cellular, and can't get on with them because they don't have the capability. Verison, Sprint, and others can do it.

Does the 3360 have infrared? I thought that it was only available on the 3390 in that series.

The 3360 does have IR. That is why I got it before I found out it doesn't work with US Cellular. It is on the top with the power button. It looks nothing like an IR port though. You can find the setup guide on how to do all the connection settings if your cellular provider allows is on the Nokia website.

YA, my service doesnt have it. I have to get the prepaid stuff because im too young for a contract plan.

Cool. Most of the xx60 series didn't have IR. My 8260 doesn't, but the 8290 does. Weird.

Sorry schrags11. I was pretty upset that I couldn't use mine either. I had been considering a cell phone, and that was the reason I finally got one. I even asked multiple sales reps before I bought it if it would work, and none of them were very knowledgable, but I finally got one who seemed to know what they were talking about telling me it should work, then it didn't.

I would have gone with Sprint because I knew they worked, but at the time I had a Toshiba E310, and they can't work with anything other than the IR due to the lack of serial support. I was pretty pissed, but now I have a wifi network in my home, and my linksys cf card is coming tomorrow, so all worked out in the end.

I've been loooking into the same thing, except that I have Nokia 3320. I found this on Nokia's website. I haven't tried it so I don't know if it will do what we're looking for.
