Axim with Bluetooth controlling desktop?

Can I use an Axim with Bluetooth to, say, control the PowerPoint slideshow on a Bluetooth dongled PC?
Thanks

What kind of axim do you have?

The reason I ask is becuase one way I can think of right now is VNC using a network. (The PAN profile betwenn laptop and Axim)

I'll see if I can find something more practical.

Well, now that I know you have an X51 Mid (like me), I got good news and bad.

The bad news is the X51 doesn't have the PAN profile for bluetooth. Some how it got removed from WM5. So bluetooth is out of the question.

The good news (hopefully). Does your laptop have Wi-Fi in it? If it does you can set up an Ad-hoc netwrok (PTP) and control it over VNC that way. Plus you get better range and speed.

That's just awesome! Just wondering if there's anything out there that will late you control Global key functions (ie, play, stop, next, last, volume up, volume down, etc...) through a connection (prefer through wifi) between a PPC and a PC. I listen to music a lot in my room, and as much as I love my Media Laptop, I use my handheld a lot more. Would be awesome to just sit back on the sofa and be able to switch media through winamp without touching my pc!
