I'd love to stream real audio over my wireless link (witch works fine otherwise).

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it to work with even one stream.

I got always the same error: "cannot connect to server"

Was anyone successful ?

It will stream its just very picky about what streams it will work with. I don't know if it supports the old G2 streams or not. I did find a Spanish AM radio staion stream that streamed but like you, I find that most of the stuff just errors out.

I just stay with Shoutcast and Live365 streams and the GSPlayer. It seems to be the perfect match. Yeah, I know, some streams are only in Real.

Well RealOne Player is a beta so I wouldn't get to excited about problems...

Some things to remember with the RealOne player and streaming. You cannot stream an HTTP server stream, it has to be one of Real's RPTS server streams. You cannot stream copy protected info, so CNN/MLB Baseball and other streams are out...

I guess this means I'll have to wait either for software to leave the beta stage or until the real-only feeds become open to other formats.

In the meantime I'll try to find interesting Shoutcast and Live365 streams.

I wish Real Audio would update the RealOne player for PPC. The current version is almost useless for streaming. This could be a very useful player if they'd adapt it so that it would work with most content.

It's been quite a while since they introduced th Beta version, so it looks like they're not actively developing for the PPC. Looks like they got their PR for rolling out the Beta and then quit!

In the meantime, GSPlayer with Shoutcast is the best game in town for streaming.
