x51v how to use BT question

I partnered my ppc with a friends (also x51v). When I go into Bluetooth folder, under Devices tab and pick my friend's PPC, Partnership Settings window opens. However, under Select services to use from this device, nothing is listed. So, my question is...what can you do with BT function? How can I send files or documents if there's no services listed under this menu?

Don't wory about the services that show up. Once they are connected use beam to send files to the other system.

I have Resco file explorer so there is a send via bluetooth in the menu. But I understand that if you do not have Resco then you use beam as in IR from the regular file explorer.

I have Resco File Explorer as well. I'll try that method. My friend doesn't have Resco. So all he has to do is use the beam function after pairing up with my Axim via BT and the beam function will send the files through BT. Am I understanding you properly?

Yep. I just did it with my laptop. Select beam, then it will say infrared align ports and searching. Then under found unknown computer, then the computer name will appear with tap to send next to it. Tap and it will say done when complete. The laptop reports recieving a file. When I sent files to my axim it will ask if you want to save the file once its transfer is complete.

In resco, select the file select Menu->File->Send To->Bluetooth reciepient. Resco will start bt and search. select a device from the search window and press send.
