How do I set up an adhoc connection using my laptop's wireless?

I'm on a 3MB cable connection and want to have my PPC be able to go online using the wifi on both the device and my laptop. Is it possible? How do I do it?

Is your lap top connection wifi or cabled?

If our lapto is cabled then your laptop will act as the gateway. First you have to share laptops's internet connection. Click on the network connection and go through the share this connection dance.

read wifi.aximsite.com for more details

Have you ever used wifi on the axim.

If not first you have to set up the interface. choose wireless axim or some such sillyness. I really don't know why the other selections are there.

Then you have to set up sthe connection. Ignore the modem settings. you don't need them. Select my work connection. Do not check proxy....

Then you should be able to connect to your laptop wire less connection add hoc.

These are the short steps, for details refer to wifi.aximsite.com

Also, try using odyssey client, if available.
