Hmm Dell Axim and DWL-800AP+

I was wondering whether anyone else was having issues with their Dell Axim , Dell TrueMobile 1180, and it working with the DWL-800AP+ (D-Link 802.11b Repeater). I currently have it repeating for a DI-614+ Router and it seems the TrueMobile card finds the repeats and even connects to it but fails to communicate with the network or obtain an IP number from the DHCP on the router. I even tried a static IP number with no success. If i put the repeater into Access Point mode (which means I have to create a separate SSID from the routers and defeats the purpose of the repeater), the Axim will talk to the DWL-800AP+. I was wondering if anyone ran into this problem and if they found a solution. I am going to try contact D-Link and Dell to see what might be the issue. Thanks for any help in advance.

This is what D-LINK Let me know for those having trouble with DWL-800AP+

I contacted D-Link Technical Support and found out the followin to get the AXIM communicating with my DWL-800AP+ Range Extender and my TrueMobile Wireless Card. Mine started communicating after I updated the firmware and disabled 4x Mode on the DWL-614+:

Check your DI-614+ firmware, it should be 2.18 with a March, not a February
date. Once updated to 2.18 on the router, also disable 4x mode (under Advanced
tab->Performance). You probably already know to use the LAN MAC of the router in
the repeater Remote MAC Address field, but this is just a reminder to do that if
you haven't. Also try setting up the repeater without WEP enabled on both the
router and the repeater. You can set up WEP again once you have things working.
Finally, remember to put the router's IP address in the Gateway field on the
Network tab on the repeater.
