Hi all,

Just recieved a Spectec SDW-820 SDIO Wifi card today to go with my Standard Axim X3 to use over my wireless Netgear MR814v2 router.

First off i had no problems setting the Spectec software up, and it says it's connected. But thats it!

I can't see my Axim in my router in attached devices even though i've set it up in the wireless section of my router with the Axim's MAC address.

Also it won't sync over wireless which i presume this is why i can't log on to the internet or MSN with my Axim.

I have checked all the threads on these boards about setting it all up and followed the information. But nothing seems to work.

Shouldn't i be getting the little wireless logo at the top of my axim screen aswell?

Does anyone have any other info on this matter or have got similar hardware to refer to?

Just a side note, i am using Activesync 4.1. Is this ok to use with this Axim X3? It's always worked fine for when i've sync'ed it with my cradle.

Anyway until someone does reply(if they do) here's what else i've done.

I found at first even though the Axim was connecting to my router it was being assigned a 169.154.X.X ip. which did'nt realy help things to much. So i manually assigned it an address.

Now all is great when it comes to being connected to my router. I get the two little arrows at the top of my Axim screen to say connected, and the little blue connection bars showing the strength of the connection at the bottom of the Axim screen. So that all seems fine.

Just that i still can't sync, get on the internet or msn through the wireless connection

This is driving my bonkers:rolling:

Like i already stated in my first post that i've tried everything ten times from the "WiFi Guide and FAQ - link and RFC " thread.

I realy don't know what to try now
