Aximsitewifiicon WiFi ICS with 56k

I have googled and searched for a while now and even was in email contact with some one about it and I've only heard the same things over and over...

Here is all of my stuff:
  • AXIM x51, A05, Socket CF WiFi Card
  • PC, 56k Dial-Up, Cat5 to Router
  • Linksys WRT54G Wireless router

Here are the steps I took:
  1. Connected to Dial-Up
  2. Changed router IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.254
  3. Shut off DHCP on router
  4. Preformed ICS wizard on PC
  5. Changed IP on PC to 192.168.0.1
  6. Changed IP on AXIM to 192.168.0.2
  7. Change Gateway and DNS to PC IP (192.168.0.1)

My AXIM can connect to my PC for thinks like remote controlling, shared files, etc. but when I use IE or w/e to use the internet, it says it cannot connect.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I have. I know you shouldn't use a router, but thats the only way I can connect my AXIM to my PC other then the crappy activesync, I really don't want to by a wifi card just for this when I have a wireless router already.

I tried those steps (as seen above) but with no luck.

The only possibility that I can see is what you performed ICS on. In your case, it should be on the modem.

In theory, you shouldn't need to assign IPs to anything other than the router (on the LAN side) since ICS should be performing the DHCP functions for everything else.

Sorry, with school letting out and all I completely forgot about my topic here.

Yes, I have XP... regretfully.

If I have DHCP disabled, I get a "limited or no connection" to my router because of no IP being handed out. Only way to access the router control panel is to 1) reset it to default or 2) manually assign IPs.

I have a ZIP attached with screenshots of my current settings.
