to my DSL connection. it consists of my DSL modem, Apple Airport (for wireless), Dell Dimension 3100 and a iMac, all of the computers connect to the airport just fine.

This is my first PDA--- Wait strike that I did have 2 newton 2100's.

But anyway, the Dell PC and the Mac connect to the internet with a PPPoE connection.

Is this possible with the PDA?

and I am trying to update the system with a patch from DELL and I installed Active sync before I hooked up the the USB cradle to the Dell PC, it syncs but how do I install software to the X51V?

Have a look at the Wifi faq sticky at the beginning of this Wireless Communications forum - regarding your first question.

Most commonly things to be installed come as .exe files. With these one can locate them on the PC that the Axim is linked with, double click on the file to launch it, the file will unpack itself, take you through a few screens and then tell you to look on the Axim to see any further instructions. The next time you launch ActiveSync, if it's not running already, it will complete the install on the Axim.

If your patch is a CAB file you can copy it to the Axim, using the Explore option on the ActiveSync menu, double click on it on the Axim to install.
