The exact same thing happened after I set up a connection with a friend's bluetooth phone. I am using an x30h with WM2003 SE. Has anyone had this problem and fixed or, or do you know what I can do to fix it? Many Thanks! :)

I wrote to Semsons.com, where I ordered the BT-338/iGuidance bundle and received the following information from their suppport team:
"Are you testing BT-338 using the Bluetooth manger on Dell X30? If so, then the issue that you describe is normal.
1. The signal strength in BT manager is not meaningful. It will not give you the actual connection status between BT GPS and your PDA since there is no real data communicating between PDA and GPS.
2. If you are only using BT manager, there is no real GPS data communicating between PDA and BT GPS. Thus, the BT connection will be disabled after few minutes to save battery life.
Here is what we recommend.
To test BT GPS, you need a real GPS application running such as iGuidance V3 or GPS Info included on the CD. When you have real GPS application running, the BT connection will not disabled and you will have a stable connection. "
When I loaded iGuidance and tested the BT-338 with it running, the connection did just fine.
Great Support:)
