i recently purchased a really nifty bluetooth headset from Sony-Ericcson

i've had my Axim for a couple weeks (so i'm still a very new user). i have no problems pairing the devices together, but i cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to actually get sound to transmit to the headset. i've read several reviews of the HBH-DS970 and the reviewers have stated that it works great with PDAs. i checked through all the posts here, searched (there were a few other posts about BT headsets that got 0 replies, hope this one doesn't follow suit), i read the BT guid linked at the top, i could not find any pertinent information about how to get a BT headset working specifically with the X51v. the BT guide linked here shows an interface and screenshots that are not from the X51v with A12 ROM and WM5, at least not mine. any help on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

nevermind i'm a moron.

it was working perfectly all along just with the installed software and A12 ROM i guess. i thought it wasn't working because i wasn't hearing little clicks like when you close apps, but MP3s, movies, audio books all worked and sounded great, and the wireless pause/play/FF/track skipping (AD2P or AVRC i think) worked perfectly as well. i guess the latest software and ROM address whatever was causing people to have problems earlier.

I'm planning on buying the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 too, but have you checked with skype? or any other apps that require voice transmission? If you have please answer!

I think people know what I am talking about... At least people that "upgraded" from the x50v to the x51v and found that pairing BT headset was more complicated or pairing any BT device is harder now. The x50v had the nice interface that allowed you to scroll down and pick what you were going to use the BT device for and then make the search for the device. Now it totally skipped that step and it seems much harder to tune. Now I can't get my BT to work that worked fine w/ the x50v and my Kick A$$ LGCU500 took forever to get connected as a wireless BT modem w/ HSDPA(that's right the first phone in America w/ it) read it and weep, LOL. When I got it up it was like sailing at WiFi speed but away from my house and in the city not worrying about an open HotSpot but being able to get service even in more rural areas where the 2nd Generation 3G would go down to EDGE speed intermittantly. Anyways, the interface loss is truely a lose I believe

We know what you are talking about. It's the pathetic microsoft stack that came with the X51. Don't despair, there are two heroes (beemer and mikelspikel) who ported the widcomm stack for the X51.
