I had been successfully logging onto most free spots and my office, home and business networks - about 6-7 on a regular basis. I needed to log onto another network that also required additional security to get out onto the internet. It didn't seem to work, so I tried doing it with odyssey. That worked but now I cannot log onto any network without using odyssey. I don't mind, it works, and is only a minor annoyance. I only load on demand, so it doesn't seem to be a big memory issue either. But once you use odyssey, it appears that you can't go back My question: What does odyssey do that makes it irreversible?

At about the same time and prior to a routine backup (Geez, when will I learn, ), I tethered the ax to my hobbling v551 phone. I just needed to make the link to make sure it works, since only use this in a pinch when I'm travelling. I now have modem connections as well as the wifi card connections and my internet is all messed up and had the pop up windows saying it was looking for the BT modem

I removed all the connections, cleaned with memmaid and got my internet and email working with wifi, but it is now erratic. wifi sometimes does not shut down, or it won't turn on. BT sync still works fine. Several soft resets, still erratic control.

The wlan utilitity showed that it was receiving, that seemed odd, since I couldn't turn it on. Out of desparation, I turned on Flight mode. Every screen was now empty, clearly wifi was off, and I assume BT as well. I then tried to turn wifi on. It worked!

I'm baffled. This is the first real hitch I've had since getting the x51v. Don't know whether to revert to my last backup or see if this is now okay. or hard reset to get back to not having to use odyssey. Don't know if my use of BT is red herring. Are there clues here for the really smart guys to figure out where the glitches are?
