X50V could not map share drive via WIFI?
I have my X50V with WM5 A02 rom installed,
My X50V and T42 both connected to the LinkSys router
Both of them can surf the internet.
I can ping from X50V to T42, I can ping from T42 to X50V as well
I can see my T42 in pocketlan searching, but when I click connect,it fails and tell me failed to connect,(it was supposed to ask me for the user name and password)
(I once successfully connected to someone else's share folder, but cannot access later on)
Guys, do you have any suggestion for me to work that out?

Try going into the network settings - Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Set up my Proxy server. On the Proxy server tab, check the top box (This network connects to the Internet) but leave everything else on this page blank. On the General tab, the name should be "My Work Network." OK and then select the Advanced (tab), Select Networks and select "My Work Network" from both of the pull down lists. That should allow you to use work for both networking and the Internet.

I had a similar glitch...this worked:
First open the linksys software...then look for the 'wireless' option, click on it and see if it's 'disabled'...if so, change to 'enabled'....then save.
Could be the problem! :)

When I was networking an earlier PPC, I had to create a new user on my WinXP PC with the same name as my PPC (this wasn't necessary with my X51v, however).
I've also not needed to use PocketLAN with WM05. Simply open a file explorer and enter the network name of your PC. It's possible with the Pocket Windows explorer but Total Commander and Resco Exlorer have better functionality. For TC, you double tap on the double backslash, then \LAN, <new server> and enter the network name of your PC. Some people find they have better success using the IP address of their PC.
