Hmm AirScanner

I知 having a problem understanding the details of the packets sniffed by Airscanner. How do I render these numbers and letters in to something I can understand? Do I need a hex converter or something? thanks :)

Read the Airscanner user's guide (found on the site). Airscanner has the ability to export the captured packets into an ethereal format for import using that program.
From there you can re-assemble them and perform analysis. Its not for the novice though. So read the user's guide for that as well.

Ethereal can be found at www.ethereal.com

Question thanks but...

thanks but

I知 aware of the fact that you can save the packets in Ethereal but I would like to be able to read the packets with out using a pc and from what I致e read Ethereal doesn稚 come on pocket pc. Is there a program that would allow me to read these packets in plain texts on the pocket pc?

THANKS :)

Read my post (WarDriving Utils) where I originally linked to AirScanner... That was my original question; to find an "all-in-one" solution.

Haven't found one yet.

hex

I知 pretty sure that these packets are in hex so if there was a hex to plain text program on pocket pc you could probably view them in plain text if there not encrypted. My friend might try to build something in perl for pocket pc. If he does I値l post it hear.
Is there anything out there for pocket pc that will do this?

:)
