Verizon Calling Plans??

Sorry Aximsite, I know this is not Verizon support.

I recently purchased a Verizon cell phone and signed up for the America's Choice plan @ $34.99. Plan included free nights and weekends. My question is..............

can I make as many "nights and weekend" calls as I want without going over monthly allowance? I understand I only get 300 minutes per month, but the night and weekend minutes are NOT COUNTED towards my used minutes- correct??? The guy who sold me the phone wasn't very clear, so I thought I would contact customer support. Why wait for customer support, when I've got Aximsite!

Anyway, I know a lot of you use Verizon as well. Thanks for the help!

Yes. In principle, you should be able to use more minutes on the nights and weekends than there are minutes in the nights and weekends (after all, Verizon advertises UNLIMITED nights and weekends -- but surely, they must realize that there IS a limit to the number of minutes during nights and weekends).

Seriously, though, you can talk as much as you want on the nights and weekends without incurring an additional charge. And that includes Verizon's Mobile Office service, which (if you have the proper cable) allows you to surf the web with your Axim with a 14.4 digital connection.

went to the verizon store to get a new phone and the lady at verizon store told me to hold off. Supposively starting next month verizon will be offering the walkie talkie features that nextel offers. anyone else heard this? supposively it is with a motorolla c60i phone, anyone use this? any comment on if phone stinks?

I am debating on switching to a different phone service, one with better data packages.

I had heard that the push-to-talk feature launch date on Verizon had been pushed back a month or 2 (something like 8-1-03 now). Not sure how reliable that is. I also heard that the plans that will have the PTT feature will be pretty expensive......we'll just have to wait and see. If you want to see the phone they will launch with, go to www.phonescoop.com and look up the Motorola v60p.
