Hi,
I'm looking for a product a friend of mine told me about that allows me to connect to a wierlles network within a mile (not sure how far ecxatly) and if I get to far from it, it autommatically connects to another networt within that mile that is closer to me. Supposedly you connect an antenna to the PDA or laptop and almost always give you a signal. I was hopping somone could tell me the name of it.

Never heard of anything like that. Wifi range is a lot less than a mile with most home routers. Think of its range similar to the range of a cordless telephone.

As far as amplication with an antenna, it is possible, but it wont increase range to a mile off regular home wifi.
