Despite trawling through many threads related to this topic and hours of frustration, I cannot get my x51v to connect to the net through my Motorola L6 phone (on Orange UK). Can anyone help me?

In Settings/Connections I created a new modem connection and when it asked for the modem I chose bluetooth.

It then got me to choose a pairing or add one.

In the the number i put *99# so that it uses the phone's own default data connection.

usin the phone's own settings, i did not have to enter anything in the User name/Password/Domain boxes.

[I have a £16 for 25Mb dataplan - it's extremely expensive otherwise - in fact, I am going to migrate to t-mobile where i can get 3Gb per month for around £12.50].

when I was on orange.. I found that an Orange PAYG sim card would let you buy unlimited data for £1 per day. If you have a spare phone lyinging around that might be an option.

Otherwise T-Mobile will do unlimited data on PAYG for £1 per day as well.

(but the £12.50 web'n'walk tarrif is fantastic)
