D-Link works with 2K3. I just downloaded and installed the driver from the website. No trouble at all.
**still waiting on SMC, though.

I just copied this from Netgears site under the ma701 product page:
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Compact Flash Type I/II interface in a PDA with Windows CE version 2.11, 3.0 or higher
Does this mean they expect it to be compatible with WM2K3 or not?

Thanks Cheryl. Although it says its only a CE3.0 and PPC2002 driver, the drivers are working on my PPC2003 Axim!

i'm not gonna worry about the drivers for now because I dont think i'm gonna update ppc2003 until they get all the performance issues resolved. good to hear that some 2002 drivers are working on 2003 that's for sure.

I made an inquiry via email about the netgear card and got this response:
Dear lilsweepr,
Thank you for contacting Netgear Support. My name is Shailendra & I will be handling your enquiry.
We expect the updated firmware to be released soon as the engineering i working fast for updated drivers. We are however unable to provide you with an ETA at this point of time.
Regards
Shailendra Naresh

At least they seem to be working on the problem.

So at least we know there'll be a Netgear driver for 2003.
Anyone tried
a) the old Netgear driver
b) Intersil Prism driver
under 2003?

Oh one more thing, I believe Netgear, Dlink, Linksys and SMC all use the same chipset. As soon as one releases their driver, I would assume the others will not be far behind.

I don't know for sure if this is true, but I think that Intersil makes the basic drivers for Prism cards and that all of the other drivers are variations of the source code that Intersil provides. If that's true, I would expect that Intersil would have new reference drivers that would work. Whether or not you can get your hands on them for free is another question.
Also, I wonder if there's a way to tweak the registry to make the old drivers work with the new OS? Maybe some clever hackers out there can investigate this and telll us if there's a workaround???
I use a Netgear MA-701 card. Wi-Fi is so important to me that I'll wait until drivers are available before I load WM2003. And also until they get the slow-down problem fixed!

Cool, I got my Axim two days ago, and it is great. And today went to CompUSA and bought the DLink DCF660W ($50 - $20 Mail in rebate), and it is working pretty good with 2k3, I installed the driver from DLink's site, not the one in the CD. Also, I love this driver, it has much more stuff than the "no configuration" driver used with the DWL650 (PCMCIA) card in Win XP.

Uhm Cheryl....could you tell me how you got it to work consistently. I just downloaded the latest driver for the d-link air dcf 660w and it works sometime. I have to start it then pray then do a little dance then it will work like 15% of the time. Then if i turn it off i have to do this procedure again. (actual procedure is turning on the axim, going to connect, selecting the dlink, inserting the dlink, and if there is a green light for longer then 2 or 3 seconds, opening the dlink program) This procedure only worked a few times though while other times it did not...eck i knew paying 29.99 for a compact flash wifi card was to good to be true (the dlink can be purchased at compusa for 29.99 with a 20 instant and 20 mail in rebate in sourthern cali right now)...anyways any help would be vastly appreaciated.

I bought it with that same offer. And what I did was this:
- First I was going to be out the entire day, so I was excited, and installed the driver before going to CompUSA, so that I could just snap it in and try it out. But when I tried it it didn't work.
- So I removed the card, and uninstalled it.
- When I got home followed the instructions (plugged the car in, and installed the driver). When I plugged the card in it asked me for a name, I put "DCF660W". And then installed the driver, did the soft reset, setted it up for my network, and worked instantly.
- After that I've tried powering up and off, soft reseting, taking the card out and in, etc. And it have worked 100% of the time.
- Btw. You don't have to go to the Settings, you can click on the icon that is on the lower right corner of the Home screen.
