Hi there, i have been given a Linksys WAP. I have it all setup going through my cable router and a belkin pcmcia wifi card in my laptop. This all works great #:)

My questions are:-

Can anyone suggest a CF card for my Axim, do i need to spend a lot or will a cheap one do?

Also i presume once i have the card i can then activesync with the laptop over the wireless network etc but what about when i am at work or on the road and only have the card in the laptop and the card in the axim, can i sync on a kinda peer to peer basis without the Wireless access point? or is the Wireless access point needed at all times?

There is a link in this thread to a company in the UK providing cheap cf wifi - but not used it so can't recommend - maybe someone else here has though

you are correct in assuming you can sync over the WiFi connection. And while your on the road, away from the WAP, you can connect the laptop and Ax directly though Ad-hoc mode.
