I haven't been able to successfully connect to my WinXP box thru remote desktop. I can sync and file browse, but when I attempt a terminal service connection to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3389, it tells me that it cant resolve the server name.

To Jer and anyone else having problems with TSC...

Check out the MS how-to... took me all of 3 minutes to get up and running... too easy!

Hey that's great information.
"Increasingly, users of wireless mobile devices require access to the functionality of their desktop computers. Windows XP and Windows 2000 permit you to do this. By using the Handheld PC or the Pocket PC, you can connect to an application server and run programs just as if you were sitting at the server computer itself."

I haven't personally looked into it, but could you not also run with something like pocketVNC to make the connection to the desktop?

MTPacifico,
Thanks for the Howto. That's exactly what I've been looking for.

Is there a help guide like that for Windows ME? I did a search on the MS site, but didn't see anything. Any help is appreciated!

I've used pocketVNC and it works pretty good. It's a liitle slow and you have to scroll alot but it works.

Why not just play the .mp3s across the network on the Axim directly? PocketMusic has no problem playing files across WiFi.

Or are you trying to use your PPC as a remote control for your PC, and the speakers are connected to your PC? If so, you want this:

Cracked it - so dumb really. I needed to use Windows Professional not Home version - it's one of the key feature differences between the two versions. Prof has Remote Access Service ( Accessories/Communications) which has to be activated and allows certain users/groups access. Then the Terminal Services Client can be run on the Axim successfully!
