D-link CF WiFi with laptop?

I just bought a D-link Wi-fi CF card that I got working fine with my Axim. I also bought a CF to PCMCIA adapter so I can use with my laptop. I can't seem to get it working with the drivers that come on the D-link CD. Anyone know how to set this up?

it is a bad idea to use drivers on the CD, go to dlinks website and find your CF Card in the driver section and then download the proper driver for your operating system.

If you are using it on your pocketPC you would download the pocketPC driver,

if you are using it on your laptop, you would download the windows driver for your version of windows. If your laptop has XP, the card should work without a driver, but if it doesnt, install the website driver

They don't make drivers specifically for the DCF-660W for any PC version of Windows. Try the ones for one of the PC cards (for example, DWL-650H). I think people have had success with them.

hrm actually I dont think there are drivers for that card, my mistake.

Windows XP has built in drivers for most wifi stuff, so if you use that I have no clue why its not working

I am running into the same problem. Could you tell me where you found the files on the Win 2000 disk?

Thank You!

The driver I'm using is named 660WKNDS.sys. Not too sure exactly where I got it on the disk (Win searched automatically), but you can search . . .
